Open Mic Night

The Gate loves God, loves people, and loves music!!
The 2nd Friday of every month, The Gate opens it’s doors, and invites local musicians and songwriters to come and perform in an Open Mic format. We welcome all genres of music, and both covers and originals (we only ask that lyrics are family-friendly…we have kids here, too). We also welcome all levels of performers.
We are all about providing an encouraging environment, whether you are a first-time performer, or a seasoned pro. Performances are from 7 – 10pm, with sign-ups at 6:30pm. We have guitar players, keyboard players (we have a keyboard available), singer/songwriters, instrumentalists, and vocalists (we can play your tracks). We also love folks who brings percussion instruments, harmonicas, bass guitar, saxaphones…whatever you play…who might like to sit in with other players. We welcome it all…like we said, we love music, and we love sharing music and our church with the community!!
And no wonder….our Pastor, David Habib Bardowell, formed his first band along with his brother, Philip, and friend, John Stamos (from the TV hit sit-com, Full House) at the age of 12. He went on to play keyboards and sing with some of the most notable recording artists of all time, including Richard Carpenter, Jan and Dean, and Mike Love of the Beach Boys. Pastor David Habib, has a huge heart for God, a love of music, and a love for people…and it all comes together at our Open Mic Nites at The Gate!! It just doesn’t get much better than that!!
So…we sure hope to have you join us soon for a night of great music, great friends, and great fun!!
